Mirror Group Newspapers Phone Hacking Trial

This week in London, the Mirror Group Newspapers phone hacking trial came to a conclusion with a landmark case ruled by Justice Timothy Fancourt.   Daniel Taylor gave an interview to Megan Specia and Mark Landler of The New York Times on December 15th following the ruling on the case brought by Prince Harry and others against the British newspapers Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The Sunday People..

Daniel commented that the ruling was “a devastating judgement for The Mirror Group”.  He continued that it shows that the company “lied to a judicial pubic inquiry as well as misled Parliament and the courts.”
